prosthodontic treatments

A smile that suits your face.

Smile design is a plan rather than a single procedure. The shape, colour and alignment of your teeth are assessed together with your face, and the right method is chosen after that.

Planning starts with photographs, measurements and a digital design. We look at how your teeth, gums and lip line work together. You see the design before anything is done and tell us what you would like to change.

Depending on the design, porcelain veneers, zirconia crowns, composite bonding or a combination may be recommended. Which method suits you is decided at the examination, based on the condition of your teeth.

Who is it for?

  • People unhappy with the colour, shape or alignment of their teeth
  • People with chipped, worn or gapped front teeth
  • People who want to renew old fillings and crowns

the process

How does it work?

  1. Examination and analysis

We examine your mouth and take photographs and measurements.

  2. Digital design

Your new smile is planned digitally and shared with you.

  3. Try-in

Where suitable, the design is tried in the mouth before the permanent work.

  4. Treatment and check-up

The design you approved is carried out and a follow-up visit is planned.

questions

What you may be wondering.

Are teeth filed down for a smile design?

It depends on the method. For veneers a very thin layer is removed from the front surface; crowns need more shaping. Bonding often needs no preparation. Which suits you is decided at the examination.

How long does it take?

It depends on the plan and the method. Work that involves the laboratory is usually completed in a few visits; we give you an exact schedule after the examination.

Is the result permanent?

Porcelain and zirconia restorations can last many years with good oral care and regular check-ups. How long they last varies from person to person.
